One of the things that I’m interested in doing this year is spending more time on Amazon. It used to be a place just to buy books or electronics, but it is rapidly moving towards a much stickier site where I can research all kinds of products, share my ideas through product reviews, and share my preferences with friends, family and others. This is not news to many of you. For me it is new. Yesterday, I wrote my first review on Amazon. Today, I updated my profile. In the past couple of days I’ve spent a lot more time there but haven’t bought anything. I’m curious to see where Amazon goes in 2006 with their community features- and how they try to monetize the increasing amount of time that people are spending on their site.
