The Arrington comment was made while on a panel with eBay.
Michael Arrington is pretty ignorant to say that. eBay has built +the+ auction platform of the Internet. That platform is leveraged by hundreds of software vendors in their own applications. What could be more Web 2.0 than that?
Building platforms is at the center of Web 2.0. It is in that light that Windows Live must be interpreted.
