NY Times: “EVERYONE knows about how much iPods cost. But how much does it cost Apple to make them?”
I did not know how little data Apple discloses about their computer and software sales versus the iPod business. As an investor or potential investor, you would definitely benefit from having that information. Apple is one of the most secretive companies in the industry. While it is often to their credit, this is one case where they should probably disclose more information to shareholders.
