Another Google no show?

Scoble: “[Y]ou aren’t going to get better market share numbers by not showing up to influential computer conferences.”

So Google is a no show at another event? They hardly participated at MIX this year (the only major internet company that wasn’t actively engaged) and I heard them same from several other notable non-Microsoft conferences this year. So is Google not participating out of ignorance or is this part of a strategy to withhold information and limit community interaction? Time will tell, but at present it looks like Google doesn’t plan to engage in the broader technology community.
