Just released from Windows Live- the Windows Live Writer. This new client supports posting to Windows Live Spaces and a variety of other blogging services that support the MetaWeblog and Movable Type APIs. There are some interesting ties to other Windows Live services that are accomplished through the Writer client, including map references, photo storage and other services exposed with the Windows Live Writer SDK. I’ve seen a private beta of this product and definitely recommend that you check it out.
The Windows Live Writer folks did a nice job. Also check out RocketPost, http://www.anconia.com/rocketpost. It’s more advanced than Writer, and there’s a free version. (I designed it.)
