Search Engine Watch simply doesn’t understand voice search
Search Engine Watch: “[V]oice search won’t achieve ubiquity until it’s faster to talk than type.”
My only response to this is, “On what planet is it faster to type on a mobile phone than it is to state a voice command?” You *might* be able to make that argument on the PC (it is a stretch for the average user if accurate at all) but you simply can’t make the speed argument when it comes to mobile devices and pure telephony interfaces. And since that is where voice search is being applied today, methinks Search Engine Watch just doesn’t understand it.
